A Supportive, Human Approach to Counselling
Life can be challenging. Sometimes things build up slowly; other times, change happens suddenly and leaves you feeling unsettled or unsure where to turn.
Counselling offers space to pause, talk openly, and begin to make sense of what’s been happening.
My approach is person-centred, which means the focus is always on you — your experiences, your pace, and what feels most important right now.
I aim to create a space that feels safe, warm, and grounded, so you can explore things honestly and without pressure.
What to Expect
-
Time that’s just for you: Sessions are a regular opportunity to reflect, process, and talk freely without judgement.
-
Honest and compassionate support: I’ll listen closely, encourage reflection, and help you find clarity when things feel confusing.
-
Straightforward language: We’ll talk in a way that feels natural, not clinical.
-
Your pace, your boundaries: You decide what you’re ready to share.
-
Steady progress: Counselling isn’t about quick fixes; it’s about small, meaningful steps towards change.
How Counselling Works
Our work together starts with understanding what’s been happening for you and what you’d like to be different.
Over time, we’ll explore patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be affecting your wellbeing.
There’s no expectation to have it all figured out — counselling gives you the space to look at things safely and begin to make sense of them in your own time.
I work both in person and online, and I have completed specialist training in online counselling to ensure remote sessions are safe and effective.

In-Person Counselling
Meet in a calm, confidential therapy room in Manchester.
Face-to-face sessions give you time to pause, reflect, and explore what’s been happening in a safe, supportive environment.
Many people find meeting in person helps them feel more grounded, creating space for connection, trust, and meaningful change.

I currently work with self-funded clients and those using Bupa private medical insurance (PMI).
Ready to take the next step?
Starting therapy can feel like a big decision, but it doesn’t have to be complicated.
Here’s how to begin:
1
First let's chat
We will start with a 15 minute video call where you can ask questions, share a little about what is going on and get a sense of how it feels to talk together. It is also a chance to explore what has brought you to counselling and what you are hoping for. Click here to book.
2
Get to know each other
If it feels like a good fit, we’ll agree on a regular time for your sessions — either online or in person. I’ll also share my client agreement so you know exactly what to expect, and I’ll answer any questions you might have.
3
Begin your therapy journey
Once everything’s in place, we’ll start working together in a way that feels comfortable and right for you. Whether you want short-term support or longer-term change, I’ll be here to walk alongside you throughout the process.
